How to use GradeEarn
A few simple rules so everyone has a good time.
1. Be kind
The AI buddy is here to help you learn. Don't try to trick it into saying mean or scary things. Don't use the app to be mean to anyone.
2. The AI is a helper, not a friend
The AI is a computer program. It can help with homework and study questions. It cannot replace a real person. When you need someone to really talk to, find a grown-up you trust — a parent, teacher, school counselor, or family member.
3. Keep your info private
Never share your home address, your phone number, your school name, or your last name with the AI or anyone else in the app. Not even if it asks. Your first name and grade are all the AI needs.
4. If something feels wrong, tell a grown-up
If the AI ever says something that feels bad, scary, or weird, stop chatting and tell a grown-up you trust. You can also email safety@gradeearn.com — but tell a grown-up first.
5. Don't copy other people's work
Your journal and homework notes should be your own thoughts and your own work. Don't copy stuff from the internet or from friends and pretend it's yours.
6. If you ever feel really down
If you ever feel really sad, scared, or like you want to hurt yourself, please talk to a grown-up you trust right away. You can also call or text 988 in the U.S. — they listen and they help, and they're there any time of day or night. The AI buddy will always tell you to do this too — it's a computer program, but the people at 988 are real.
